Canadian duo MSTRKRFT‘s excellent remix of a really crap song by some dude called Jesse McCartney (No relation to the Beatle, AFAIK)

This is one of the best tracks from ‘OK Cowboy’, French DJ, Vitalic’s debut album from 2005. It’s also on Canadian duo MSTRKRFT’s BBC Radio One set which is essential listening if you’re into house and electronica.

I’ve been listening to this Canadian duo all the time this year. They’re called MSTRKRFT and are composed of Al-P and JFK.

JFK is formerly from the group Death From Above 1979 that did the brilliant DFA Remix of the Gorillaz ‘Dare’ which is on their new album D-Sides.

Some people have rather unkindly written them off as just a low rent Daft Punk but I think they have quite a unique sound that is a mix of punk-rock, house and hip-hop. Below is their remix of another great song, Australian trio, Wolfmother’s ‘Woman’.

Look around for MSRKRFT’s live set for BBC Radio One, on the internet. Definitely worth a listen.
