Samreth is an aspiring/wannabe independent film-maker (depending on whom you ask) who keeps body and soul together by writing, designing and occasionally taking pictures.

Some background information:

In 2004, Samreth gave up a promising career (working for minimum wage in a windowless basement for a television production company called Miditech) to spend two years studying Film & Video Communication Design at the National Institute of Design in Ahmedabad. His colleagues at the time predicted that he would get kicked out within a semester and would soon be back to doing double shifts in a smelly edit suite in a basement and getting paid peanuts for it.

This never happened and Samreth used the two years at NID to experiment with scripting, camera-work, editing, lighting, sound-recording and a ponytail. He made a number of short films in a variety of video formats as well as 16mm film.

Samreth has worked for a number of organisations and has produced content for the following television networks:

2. BBC World

3. Sony TV

4. Discovery Travel & Living

5. ESPN Star Sports

6. INX Network

Some random background information:

In his lifetime Samreth has made money by performing a variety of activites. Some of the legal ones are:

1. Selling discount cards door-to-door with a very low success rate.

2. Providing hardware tech support to stupid ass-clowns who ought not to have been allowed to own a computer in the first place.

3. Waiting tables and making a killing in tips.

4. Delivering Pizzas with no driver’s license and literally ten minutes of driving experience.

Samreth used to be a voracious reader. In school one year after a worse than normal academic session his library card was taken away as punishment. Things changed in nineteen hundred and ninety eight when he got an internet connection. Somewhere in this is a story that should tell you much of what you need to know about him.

Samreth is fanatical about music and secretly judges people who claim to have ‘an encyclopedic knowledge of music’. One of his dogs is named after the rap artist born Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr.

Samreth is a computer geek and used to build computers for friends but nowadays he will NOT fix your computer so don’t even ask. Also you can pry his MacBook Air out of his cold, dead hands.

Samreth loves swimming and had what he considers a normal nose till he bumped it on the bottom of a swimming pool in Kathmandu one summer, after an over enthusiastic dive. He now steps down the ladder gingerly into the shallow side of pools.

Samreth often swears and uses language considered NSFW.

He hates office cubicles. He is also asshole-intolerant. Studies have found that many assholes lurk in office cubicles. If you are an asshole close this window now.

Despite (or perhaps because of) his previous work in the television industry Samreth does not own or watch any television.

Samreth sporadically writes on the website that you are looking at and plays guitar for his own amusement. (His questionable skill at these activities is compensated for by the fact that he is easily amused.)
