Things have changed.
The year is 2000 AD. Bob Dylan is not even close to the huge phenomenon he once was, almost three decades ago. But good things as they say, never go out of style and his laconic drawl is still good enough to win him an Academy award for best original song for this track from the film ‘Wonder Boys’ by Curtis Hanson.
This song also has some of my favourite lyrics:
Lot of water under the bridge, lot of other stuff too
Don’t get up gentlemen, I’m only, I’m only passing through.
P.S. It’s always a bit of a shock to me to realise that 2000 AD is now 8 9 years ago. Before you know it I’m gonna be one of those cranky old geezers yelling at kids to get off my lawn.
