This is an actual rejection letter I got from some place I applied to for a job in April 2007, when I was fresh outta college. I thought I’d save it for posterity. It has not been altered in any way except that I have changed the sender’s name.

Dear Samreth,

you are overqualified for this job.

It will not give you creative satisfaction which is a daily dose of
professionals like you, which is very evident from you past work experience
and education at NID.

We will surely keep your CV in mind and let you know, if something worth
your while comes up.

I wanted to send the following reply but I demurred on the off chance that he was actually being ironic. 

Dear Some Dude,

I’ll get my creative satisfaction elsewhere. I need this job

FOR THE MONEY, BITCH!
